Hope

I have never seen the dawn of a peaceful day

Nor have I seen a dove with an olive branch.

But I believe there was once a peaceful day

I have never seen the Red Sea split in two

Nor have I seen Elijah take up in his chariot.

But I believe that the Red Sea split in two.

I believe that Elijah's chariot flew.

I have yet to know if there is an end to global warning

I have yet to know if we can turn hate into love

But I believe that these days will come

Because I have hope that comes from above.
